In a reversal of importance, Effie's Place, Inc. was developed out of the Effie's Catering service division through its popularity in the mid 1980s. The Catering service started as a first class Restaurant called Akosombo Restaurant at Alexandria.

Our menu was about, "a mile long". Being an international catering service, the menu included dishes from Ghana, Nigeria, and Sierra Leone and from the rest of the other countries. The cusine also included European, Continental, Carribean and other Latin American Dishes.

The rest of the menus came from the Caribbean and other Latin America dishes. Our tasty Bakery and Catering products, including wedding cakes, make us a one-stop provider of a 'good wedding reception' that you and your guests will remember forever. Check us out and you will not be disappointed. We cater for parties of any size and occasion: Office luncheons, church gatherings, birthdays, graduations etc.

All catering within the Washington Metro of size $250 or more will be delivered free of charge.
Elsewhere, delivery charges may be applied.
